New Orleans Seeks Foreign Aid
Tuesday, June 19th, 2007New Orleans sustained more than 1 billion dollars in damage from Hurricane Katrina. The federal government allocated 320 million dollars for rebuilding, but 2 1/2 years later only just over half has been delivered. With its own government coming up short, New Orleans is talking to five foreign countries about the possibility of aid.
