In sharp contrast to their early attempts to convince us they were near death’s door, Zachary and William’s ants have suddenly shown a burst of productivity. Not only have they built a den with a picture window facing the sunset:
They have also built a basement for storage, with access to the den via a handy staircase.

New Orleans sustained more than 1 billion dollars in damage from Hurricane Katrina. The federal government allocated 320 million dollars for rebuilding, but 2 1/2 years later only just over half has been delivered. With its own government coming up short, New Orleans is talking to five foreign countries about the possibility of aid.
